Snigdha's cooking was limited to Bengali cuisine. She never attempted for non-Indian or non -Bengali dishes except a few which she felt adaptable. But within her limitation she was a great cook. Special items like Peas Kochuri, Dalpuri, Polao were unparallele in her hands. After she expired, Jean, Mou's friend in Singapore commented that he would miss Aunty's Peas Kochuri. Snigdha's Mutton preparation was different than others. Using less oil and spices, she could bring out a great taste. Wherever Girik tastes mutton, he says it is good but not like Doda's. Such a great supporter Snigdha had.

Every year when we were going to Singapore, Mou used to invite her friends one day for lunch and Snigdha was the main cook on that occasion. She used to make 40 Peas Kochuri, 3 kg mutton and Polao. Normally Polao got neglected. Guests were taking Kochuri and mutton. Such was the quality of both the items.

Last December when Mou and Kedar were in Mumbai, Kedar invited all his relatives staying in Mumbai and Snigdha cooked 3 kg mutton for them .It was hailed as one of the tastiest preparation they had taken.

That was the last time Snigdha could entertain guests with her magical hands.
